March is the perfect time for a quick vacation getaway. As the Northern Hemisphere drifts into spring and the Southern Hemisphere creeps into autumn, this month forms the ideal time to travel.  The hustle and bustle of the busy season slows down making it the ideal time to explore Europe and cooler temperatures make wandering through Asia all the more pleasant. Better yet if you’re a budget traveler, as lower hotel prices means you’re bound to score some great deals. Here are 10 of the best places to visit in March!

Nepal is known for its beautiful hiking activities which can be much easier to conquer when temperatures are cooler. Mid-March to April is perfect for a visit with warmer days and clearer views of the mountain. Prices are also much cheaper at this time of year.

Can there ever be a bad time to visit New York City? As the last of winter fades and spring starts to set in, it seems like everything in the big apple quietens down at this time of year. Apart from the St Patrick’s Day festivities, the city isn’t too run over with visitors, making it a great time to explore.

If you’re not ready to let go of winter just yet, then Iceland should be on your March bucket list! It’s not as blisteringly cold as December which means you can still o out and wonder around the natural attractions. The best part? You can take in some amazing views of the Northern Lights.

March is one of the best times to visit as the change in weather means the landscape changes right before your eyes! It’s much quieter at this time of year which means it’s great for wildlife spotting and hiking along the trails around Torres del Paine National Park and Tierra del Fuego.

March marks the start of Holi, a famous Hindu holiday celebrating the beginning of spring! The city transforms into a multitude of colors as locals dance and celebrate with brightly colored pigments! The weather is much cooler too, making it one of the best times to visit North and East India.
