Cafes Around The World – Cafe Confucius

Situated near the Confucius Temple in Dongcheng is a little Buddhist inspired coffee shop. Its mention in many China inspired guidebooks made me fairly curious as to how a little roadside café nestled in the heart of a hutong could be named after one of the most famous temples in all of Beijing which led me to wander inside. What a cute little vintage-like café!

If you’re a cat lover, that’s a bonus because these little furry creatures can be found wandering around inside, either basking near the windows and taking in some sun or laying on the comfy chairs next to you.

I'm Shalinee - a Geminian scientist who loves to travel, write, draw and eat chocolate. I've visited over twenty countries, published a Environmental Science encyclopaedia and somewhere along the way started a science communication company to help students and corporates translate that hard-to-read data generated in a lab. Other than that, I'm just searching for the magic still hidden in the world.
