Frozen Pre-made Smoothie Packs

If the easy make smoothie trend is hitting you then today I’m going to share with you a little secret, a healthy life hack if you will. Something you can use for those days when there just isn’t enough time. I mean, we all want to be healthy but when days get flustered and busy, it’s easy to pick up a chocolate… or two… or three! But it doesn’t have to be that way. 2017 is all about being organized: organized at home… at work…. on the outside and especially on the inside. That’s why these frozen pre-made smoothie packs are going to change your life and save you tons of time.


Here’s what you have to do:

  1. Buy a range of fruit, vegetables and smoothie add-ins that you love as well as some zip-lock freezer bags.

  2. Sit down, chop up your fruit and vegetables as you usually would when making a smoothie.

  3. Think of some great fruit combinations. Lucky for you, I’ve listed 5 easy combinations below.

  4. Add your fruit combo’s to a well labelled zip-lock bag.

  5. Squeeze over some lemon or lime to help maintain freshness.

  6. Seal your bags and lay them flat, in the freezer.

  7. Every morning, pull out a frozen pre-made smoothie bag, knock it on the table a few times to loosen the pieces of fruit.

  8. Add some liquid (milk, yogurt or water) to the base of the blender followed by the fruit from your smoothie pack.

  9. Sprinkle in some smoothie add-ins (almond milk, seeds, yogurts).

  10. Blitz and enjoy while on-the-go!

BANANA BERRIES: ½ cup of banana, 1 cup of blueberries, ½ cup of strawberries, ½ cup of chopped spinach, 1 cup of coconut milk, 1 teaspoon of flax seeds and chia seeds.


PINK KIWI: 1 cup of strawberries, 2 peeled kiwis, ½ avocado, 1 cup of almond milk.


GREENY: ½ cup of spinach, 1/4 cup of kale, ½ cup of fresh parsley sprigs, ½ cup of chopped pineapple, ½ cup of avocado, 1 cup of water


GREEN TEA BANANA BERRY: brew a cup of your favorite green tea and add some honey if you like. For your smoothie, add 5 – 6 strawberries, 1 cup of blueberries, 1 banana and some almond milk.


TROPICAL PAPAYA: 1 cup of chopped papayas, 1 small pot of plain yogurt, ½ cup of pineapple chunks, a slurp of almond milk, 1 teaspoon of flax seeds and chia seeds.


PEACHY POWER: 1 cup of chopped peaches and mango, ½ a banana, 1 cup of plain yogurt, soy milk and 1 teaspoon of flax seeds and chia seeds.


HONEY HOUSE: 2 cups of chopped honeydew melon, 1 cup of almond milk, a squeeze of honey, some crushed almonds, 1 teaspoon of flax seeds and chia seeds.


APRICOT ALTITUDE: 1 cup of apricot flesh, ½ cup of raspberries, 1 teaspoon of honey, slurp of almond milk, 1 teaspoon of flax seeds, chia seeds and sunflower seeds.


STRAWBERRY GOJI: 1 banana, 5 – 6 strawberries, 3 tablespoons of goji berries, 1 small pot of banana yogurt and some soy milk.


SWEET GREEN: ½ cup of chopped spinach, ½ cup of mango, ½ cup of pineapple, ½ cup of banana, ½ cup of almond milk, a hint of vanilla,1 teaspoon of flax seeds and chia seeds.
